Sometimes, we pull into a site in the opposite direction for a better view. The connections will be on the wrong side. However, its easy to pass the power, water, and sewer underneath the coach.
The downside is that the sewer is near the coach entrance. Once, in the dark, taking Jake out before bedtime, I forgot about the hose and stepped on the RhinoFLEX, permanently damaging it. I should have used a flashlight.
For our 3rd sewer hose purchase, we bought the Camco RhinoEXTREME.
The advantage is that its made with better plastic, has better swivel fittings, and it won’t crush if accidentally stepped on. So far, I prefer it over the RhinoFLEX. Its only drawback, other than the increased cost, is that the hose is more difficult to fully collapse for storage.
When ever possible, we use a sewer hose support, like this Camco Sidewinder, for easy drainage. At most RV parks, only 10-20 feet of hose is needed to reach the sewer. Sometimes, its further requiring 3 ten foot segments. We always keep at least 30 feet of hose available. Only on one occasion did we need 40 feet when we pulled up to a bluff overlooking the ocean in Maine.
