Blue Ridge Parkway, Skyline & Shenandoah
The Blue Ridge Parkway is part of the National Park Service and links Shenandoah National Park to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The Blue Ridge Parkway is 469 miles long and continues through Shenandoah as Skyline drive for another 105 miles.

New York was our first stop after leaving Vermont. We loved seeing all the fall colors, but further south, the beautiful fall foliage had not yet reached it’s peak. We were looking forward to witnessing the colors all over again!

Ohio was our first stop after enjoying some of Michigan’s natural beauty. We found an RV park near the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, which is located between Cleveland and Akron Ohio.

Mackinac Island is accessible by plane or boat, except in the winter when the water freezes over connecting Mackinac with the mainland. There are no motorized vehicles on the island other than emergency or snowmobiles in the winter. Horses are the main mode of transportation.
