Visby is located on the picturesque island of Gotland, Sweden. It is another European city, like Tallinn, Estonia, that has well preserved city walls, cobblestone streets, and well preserved ruins from the Middle Ages. Less than 25,000 people live on the island of Gotland.

Helsinki, Finland
Helsinki is the capital of Finland. It’s also the largest city with 1.58 million people living in the metropolitan area. It is about 50 miles across the Gulf of Finland from Tallinn, Estonia. Over the years, Helsinki has consistently rated high as one of the most livable cities in the world. From Tallinn, Estonia we went to Finland.

Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, is a blend of ancient charm and modern vibrancy. It has a population just under 500,000. This Baltic city boasts a remarkably well-preserved Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site that reminds visitors of the Middle Ages. Old ceramic pottery found in early settlements has been dated back to 3000 BC. Located on the Gulf of Finland of the Baltic Sea, it is only 50 miles south of Helsinki by boat. We visited Tallinn after leaving Stockholm.
