Branson is located in the south eastern corner of Missouri in the Ozark Mountains. The area attracts visitors from Missouri and across the country. Not only does Branson have an incredible amount of live entertainment, but the Ozark Mountain’s beautiful scenery and outdoor activities are a huge attraction too. The Ozark Mountains are between southern Missouri and northern Arkansas and cover about 47,000 square miles. The tallest mountain is Buffalo Lookout at 2,561 feet. The area is hilly with lots of rivers. From Eminence, it was a 3-hour drive to Branson.
Shenanigans RV Park, Branson Missouri
A wonderful, small RV park close to everything in Branson. The owners, Dave and Christina, are very personable and have plenty of suggestions for things to do in the area.
Shenanigans had full service and fast enough WIFI to stream. We will return when in the area again.
Branson Landing
We went to view the fountain, then realized it was a mall so we decided to walk around. We took Jake into the Bass Pro Shop to see the trout in the aquarium. He thought that was great! The things you do in cold weather!
Pickin Porch Grill
Located at the Branson Craft Mall. On Friday nights, they have live music and good burgers. The only strange thing was that they sugared rather than salted the french fries, which was absolutely disgusting.
Butterfly Palace
The butterfly aviary has between 40-60 different species of butterflies.
It’s a great way to spend a couple of hours on a rainy day.
There were so many including: paper kite, postman, doris, zebra mosaic, and blue morpho.
The Petersens
They are a family band that focuses on bluegrass and country.
The Petersens have been performing since they were kids and have done well in Branson, and very well on YouTube. There were only about 30 people at the show we went to. It was nice to be able to sit close and meet them afterwards. The big names don’t perform until the fall.
St. James Winery
They make both grape and fruit wines, but we didn’t sample any. They also serve beer and pizza at their bistro.
We had a delicious lunch at Noodles 22. The korean beef noodle bowl was very good.
The dogwood were finally starting to bloom. We found these at Table Rock State Park.
